Support Lia Beach on Kiss Kiss Bank Bank!
This a bit of a special news…
We just launched a crowdfunding campaign on Kiss Kiss Bank Bank to help us go through recent major troubles.
WHY WE NEED HELP
Being the pioneers of bamboo construction in the Togean islands, we’ve been facing the teething problems of a general lack of knowledge and experience, making it impossible to anticipate costs in a realistic way.
All along the way, we’ve been going through quite a lot of hazards and hitches, among which:
The bamboo issue: just a few weeks before starting the bamboo part of the works, we got hit by very bad news: almost all our bamboo had been eaten by shipworms (a kind of sea termites). Only 45 poles out of 2148 have been spared.
The fresh water issue: the well we dug in April 2015 at the back of our land has become salty due to the extreme drought Indonesia has suffered since summer 2015. We now have to consider digging another well.
For those reasons, we just launched a crowdfunding campaign on Kiss Kiss Bank Bank to call on solidarity to be able to complete the construction of our first 2 bamboo bungalows.
Our goal: raise € 6000 in 2 months.

€ 6000, 2 months, and a broad participation :
that’s all we need to finish building Lia Beach.
Thanks a lot for your support 🙂
